Something Wicked Comes at Midnight
Speaking of wicked, what does Wikipedia have to say on this?
»Horror films are movies that strive to elicit the emotions of fear, horror and terror from viewers. Their plots frequently involve themes of death, the supernatural or mental illness. Many horror movies also include a central villain.« (Wikipedia)
The genre even lives in short films. This programme is a collection of contemporary and classical shorts, compiled by the KFA. At the end of the year it is going to make a tour through German cinemas under the label »North of Normality« with the title »Shorts of the Dead«.
So, if horror and moral terror are your friends, you shouldn’t miss this programme. Afterwards, there will be a walk in the dark to the festival club.

The Programme PICTURE TEST
Owing to the tireless efforts of the ShortFilmAgency Hamburg theatrical distribution, the short film has gradually found its way back into the cinema - primarily as a programme picture that corresponds to the feature film.
By now, it has become a much-loved tradition of our distribution section to ask the audience, the present cinema operators as well as a large number of filmmakers to decide upon which films have what it takes to become future programme pictures - and which films do not.
There are 11 films - most of them current festival entries - that the audience can choose from. Those films that the audience likes best are going to be added to our distribution stock and can regularly be seen at the cinema in the near future.
