Short Film Archive

Since its inception the Hamburg Short Film Agency has been maintaining an online database that currently holds over 25,000 titles. Every year approximately 2000 new titles are added to this ever-expanding short-film resource. The video archive also carries an extensive range of titles in digital and analogue formats available for viewing. All of these titles can be accessed in the short film database. The Agency's archive concentrates on work from the last twenty years, but also maintains a significant collection of older titles and works of historical interest.

As well as the many submissions to the Hamburg International Short Film Festival a large number of short films from the Sales and Distribution sections of the Agency are also available

Numerous prestigious institutions and well-known businesses have benefitted from our expertise and made valuable use of the Agency's extensive database for research purposes. The database provides detailed information regarding content, contact addresses and technical and production details, all of which can be accessed using key-word and thematic searches. This valuable online resource also facilitates research of clips for a wide range of commercial and artistic purposes and furthermore opens up many new areas of application for the short film.
