Short Film Sales: Worldwide Distribution of the KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg

Information for Film Buyers

You will find the extensive distribution programme of the KurzFilmAgentur under

 www.shortfilmsales.com

Since 2006 the bilingual online distribution database has been enabling film buyers to undertake complex search functions and view the Agency's short films online. The comprehensive search function has been extended and enhanced to facilitate detailed research of subjects, genres, and production details while offering instant access to the most recent titles in the programme.

If you are a registered customer of the Short Film Sales, you can preview the films online as a QuickTime Movie in full length and download dialogue lists, image files, music cue sheets and other related documents. Information on the availability of specific rights can be obtained directly from www.shortfilmsales.com. To receive a password to use the databank's full range of services please send an e-mail or call us.

Information for Filmmakers

If you are looking for worldwide distribution of your short film please send us a preview-DVD and label it clearly as a distribution inquiry. We will view the film and inform you as quickly as possible if we have decided to include your work in our distribution programme.

In order to allow us to deal effectively with marketing and distribution the Short Film Sales takes on average only 20-25 new short film titles each year into the existing programme. To decide whether your film is suitable for the distribution programme of the KurzFilmAgentur it may help to look at the films currently featured in distribution.

As regards the contents of your film, the KurzFilmAgentur is interested in high-quality short films,  independent in subject and form with running times of up to 45 minutes.
Unfortunately on account of the high number of submissions we receive we are unable to return preview-copies of DVDs. All DVDs will therefore remain at the KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg.
