The most important thing that makes a good film festival, apart from spectacular films, is people. Each year we try to create a versatile forum for the short film and a meeting place for filmmakers from both Germany and abroad.
This year over 15.000 anticipated visitors can look forward to several film programmes, consisting of competitions and special programmes, and varied special events, ranging from workshops and panels to special screenings and cinematic outings. At night the spotlight will be our festival centre Halle 5 at the Kolbenhof (Friedensallee 128) with the legendary festival club, which is open daily and invites all guests to get-together, dance and drink.
But despite all this action, there will still be the need for sleep. Our guest office can help you find a suitable hotel and can also arrange some private accommodation in Hamburg.
Professional audience can apply for an accreditation. Tickets will be for sale from May 2013.
